Eric Ejercito is back and he’s not a ‘Fool’ – Manila Bulletin

Eric Ejercito loves acting, directing, and dancing. However, in this particular season, he will be Eric Ejercito, the music artist.

“I love pop music in general, it could be western pop, K-pop group, or solo artist,” Eric, son of former Laguna actor and governor ER Ejercito (George Estregan Jr.), said in a Zoom in with the entertainment press recently.

So far, he holds the exceptional Ejercito single to professionally sing. In 2018, Eric (then known as Eric E.) wrote, performed, and produced “Fearless” whose music video blended the cinematic story into a strictly choreographic dance performance.

After nearly four years, Eric returns with a new single, the lively and electro-tinged dance single titled “Fool.”

Listeners can expect the same (if not more) of the same kind of joy he put into his interests. The new track — about being a fool in the name of love — also shows Eric’s love for K-styled pop (essentially P-pop) and dance. Eric also co -directed the music video with LA -based director Jeff Centauri.

“The song is a collation of every single thing I love doing, producing, film making, dancing, singing, art design, performing. All of these things are a work of art, and I combine them into one masterpiece, ”Eric said. “I’m very excited and very happy to promote this project. When I write this song, share it with my friends, and the song is done, my friends will say, hey that’s good man! ”

He may have also stumbled upon K-pop when he was early told that his “style and my look resembles a‘ Korean ’aesthetic” which prompted him to research the genre of music and experiment even more here and from. then, in his own words, was “bitten by the (K-pop) bug.”

“My style is a representation of myself, I must say, I’m also a solo act. I’m not in a group like most here so far as comparison, Surely, fresh in the Ppop scene, I’m just being me , ”He also said.

Before he dived into pop, Eric revealed that he had a band and dance crew.

“I have bands all over high school and college. I also have a dance crew where we compete internationally. Through the years, it hit me to combine both, ”he said.

Having graduated from filmmaking at De La Salle College of St Benilde on Taft Avenue in Manila, Eric also enjoys acting. In fact, he has appeared in several acting projects. He also hinted at an acting project that was completed recently. He was recruited to join politics, but it did not interest him.

“I actually shot this project. I have nothing to reveal yet, but I just shot an iconic character. I can’t really share, but I’m excited about that. That’s how big the showing platform is and the director looks like an award-winning director. That’s all I can share for now about acting, ”said Eric.

Eric said he is taking one step at a time to become a versatile artist.

“I want to be known as an overall versatile artist. The person can literally afford to do it from the very first step, up to the moment. I am able to give it my all each day. Don’t get me wrong, it’s really hard to produce and perform at the same time and all, but I’m just thankful to the people who worked with me and helped me, and we came up with this amazing project that I’m really proud of, ”he said. added.
